Shades of Gray

What once was the beauty that haunted me in my dream
Is now no longer here
Beautiful colors as I remember
A rainbow of emotions
Painted upon a canvas of vibrant dreams

My despearte embrace cannot bring back the memories
My tears cannot bring back the emotions
Longing for the kiss, longing for rememberance
Forgotten like a fallen star

I hold out my arms
Trying to bring back that missing sensation-touch
But I drift pass as if I am a shadow
Heading for the future or am I staying in the past?
Had I been discarded or am I leaving my mark upon this world?
The Window of Time has left me ravaged and forgotten

Until the hour of our deaths
I shall wait for eternity
...but all I see is gray
My presence is that of a shade
The shade of gray or a shade of gray?
